Cheyenne Mountain Heritage Center Staff
From the desk of our new Executive Director: Greetings from the I am delighted to be joining the industrious team of people at the Cheyenne Mountain Heritage Center as the new Executive Director. I am encouraged to rise to the expectations of both the board members and the public with the support of their dynamic personalities, talent, intelligence and willingness to help. I have rarely met a more involved board or membership than I have here at the CMHC. Fortunately, former director Erin Myers will be joining the Board of Trustees, so her faithful leadership will continue to be felt by all especially during this transition. During my first week at the Center I have been busy generating ideas for programs that I hope will complement the existing calendar of events and expand our mission to gather and share the unique inheritance and traditions of the Cheyenne Mountain region. Specifically, it is my objective to create programs to serve a broader audience by incorporating activities and events that involve all the families and children of our area and engage the public beyond District 12. A vibrant Heritage Center will increase our membership and create more opportunities for sharing our history. My background in anthropology, education, advertising/marketing and operations and a wealth of time spent in nonprofits as an educator and administrator gives me insight into the job that awaits me. I hope to honor the traditions of the generations that preceded me in the Cheyenne Mountain region.
